I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing!!!

Last night's Opening Ceremony was nothing short of amazing!!! The 2012 Olympics have gone underway in London England, and I couldn't be more excited. Most of my excitement comes from all things Jamaican. Between Jamaica's 50th Independence, track and field at the Olympics, and ATI/Dream Weekend.....what's not to be excited about?!?

Aside from the excitement of the games, the walk of nations got me thinking. First, there are some BEAUTIFUL people in this world!!! And second, these athletes have risen above all others and made their way to the largest stage in sports. As an entertainer of any sort, there are sooooo many nay-sayers that feel very free to express their disapproval of your endeavors. Watching Team Jamaica and Team USA walk, the smiles on everyone's face filled my heart with pride. LeBron and Kobe take so much flak from the public and they still managed to push through the BS and reach pinnacles in their careers time and time again.

I say all of that to say, "everyone will tell you what you can't do" (-Kimora Lee Simmons) and not everyone will agree with your decisions in life. If Beyonce listened to all of the "she can't even sing" or "she's not even cute" she would have never reached any where in life. She would have never pursued her singing career with such a vengeance. She would have never traveled the world and soaked up all the experiences life has to offer.  Every athlete last night came from far and wide to make it to the Olympics grand stage. If any of them listened to "haters" they would have never made it to London, or anywhere for that matter.

Listening to and believing those who don't believe in you will have you missing out on life. And I don't know about you, but I DON'T WANNA MISS A THING!!!!!

Go Team JA and Team USA!!!!
