Father's Day

My sister and I spent Father's Day with our dad at a restaurant in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. The whole weekend was amazing. One of my favorite aunts paid us a surprise visit. I haven't seen her in 4 years. She came with my uncle (her husband) and my two cousins. We went out to breakfast at our favorite diner, Route 4 diner in Englewood. Then ran some errands and ended the night at a baby shower.

Sunday morning, I picked up breakfast from a local Jamaican restaurant to share among my fam in town. We got three large orders of classic Jamaican breakfast foods like ackee and saltfish, liver, and calalloo and saltfish with fried dumplings, fried plantains, and banana. When I say delish!!!!! The original plan was to go to Negril Village in the city like we always do for Father's Day, but my dad took us to a new restaurant called Central Kitchen. It used to be a diner, but got demolished and renovated.

I ordered the zuppa di pesce. My sister ordered the filet mignon, and my dad ordered the nicoise salad with tuna. We exchanged gifts and my dad loved everything we got for him. I loved my meal especially since I love seafood and shellfish. We love our dad more than words can say. He has taught us so much and always been there for us.
