I spent Friday night in the city for my best friend's birthday. The restaurant of (my) choice was Havana Central. It was recommended to me by my friend at work. I was in the mood for Spanish food and this was the perfect place. I went with my best friend of course, and my sister and other close friend. The ambiance of the restaurant is very lively with salsa and meringue music playing. Our server Ivan was also a lot of fun, very lively and funny.
We all ordered empanadas for our appetizers and a round of fruity drinks. I ordered the seafood paella. It came in a small black cast iron pot and was served out the pot onto a plate at the table. My sister got the chicken and seafood paella. We ended up taking it home because it was just too much food. At the end of the night our waiter brought my best friend a birthday shot. All in all it was a great summer night in NYC with a few of the many loves of my life.
