When I met you in the summer......

Year after year, my summers get better and better. Now that the summer is unofficially over, I can honestly say I had a blast. There is just something about the weather heating up that let's me know it's about to be an epic situation. I kicked off the summer by going to the Dominican Republic for Memorial Day weekend. It was a short solo trip, but I had the time of my life. Honestly though, I don't think  I would do a solo trip ever again.

For June, I celebrated my best friends birthday by going out to dinner. I went to Grooving in the Park to see Beres Hammond and Chronixx perform. That day was perfect. Great weather, delicious jerk pork and festival, and great performers singing some of my favorite songs. The 4th of July was nice, I partied in NYC with my sister and friends. I went to see John Legend, Beyonce and Jay-Z, and Bruno Mars in concert; which were all amazing shows. Then came my trip to Jamaica for my mom's 50th birthday. It was a lot packed into one week but we made it work. I went to Venture River, a few beach parties, and of course the first two days of Dream Weekend.

To bring things to a close, I did it big for Labor Day Weekend. I went to Hot 97's On the Reggae Tip, DJ Norie's Anything Goes Live, and Machel Montano at the Copacabana. I did not go to the parade in Brooklyn because the past few years have been disappointing, but apparently it was up and live this year. Eh, there's always next year. Summer isn't officially over until September 21st and I'm still trying to squeeze some boat rides in before the weather gets cold.
