Natural Hair Product Arsenal

Being natural for a little over 5 years, I have gone through more than enough products to figure out what works and doesn't work for my hair. With thick, shoulder length, 4c textured hair, my main concern is moisture, moisture, moisture!!! And length retention of course :-)

So far, I have learned that glycerin dries my hair out. So now, the search to find all natural products without glycerin has become quite a challenge. All of Shea Moisture's products as well as Eden Body Works products contain glycerin. True by Made Beautiful's products contain glycerin as well. I only purchase products I can get on the ground. Natural hair products are expensive enough as it is, and I refuse to pay for shipping or wait for any deliveries. Camille Rose and Soultanicals products do not contain glycerin but can be a bit pricey. I don't mind though, when it comes to my hair, I only want what's best.

Most of these products are brand new or barely used. The EBW Leave in conditioner is the only leave in I have been using in my hair. Not only does it smell amazing, it makes my hair melt like my hair isn't kinky. As much as I love the EBW leave in, I must say that I have been on the hunt for a new leave in conditioner. My problem lies in the detangling and re-twisting / re-braiding of my hair. Too much of my ends break off causing me to not retain any length. The only way I have been able to retain length is protective styling for long periods of time.

As of right now, my product stash is pretty extensive, no matter how much I give away. Currently occupying my stash is:

As I am Coconut Cowash

Eden Body Works Coconut Shea Leave in conditioner and Coconut Shea Pudding Souffle

Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Shampoo and Conditioner and Marguerite's Magic

Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Shampoo, Conditioner, and Hair Masque

Shea Moisture African Water Mint and Ginger Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner

True by Made Beautiful Intense Treatment Masque and Leave-in Conditioner

Soultanicals Knot Sauce coil detangler and Mango Dip detangling slip

Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Shampoo and Conditioner

Camille Rose Almond Jai Twisting Butter, Curls control paste, Blue Magic Organics Castor Oil

Tropic Isle Living Strong Roots Pimento Hair Growth Oil and homemade oil mixtures

As I use each product, I will do a recap with the ingredients and my reaction to the product as well as a review on how my hair liked (or didn't like) the product.
